We used to have several ornamental pear trees on the south side of our yard. They would lose these tiny white flowers and it would look like a carpet of flowers. I can remember back about thirty years ago playing with Lauren and running through the flowers when she was a little girl.
We don't have those trees anymore - they don't seem to be very hardy and we lost them in storms. (And I have to say, for a little while in the spring, they had a terrible smell, too!) But the little flowers came to mind when I was trying to think of ways to use those tiny flowers included with several of my stamp sets.

Idea #2: Creating ground with mini flower stamps! See the video below with tips.
Sounds like a fun idea, right? These two cards were created using a spring palette. I love the pastels offset with the black of the silhouettes. It does look like a carpet of flowers!
That's one cool cat! It's from an old, old stamp set. Probably among the very first clear stamps I ever bought.
Since my cards aren't standard size, I created an envelope and added the mini flowers to the flap. (You can see the post and video on making these easy envelopes HERE.)
This one has a little bit different palette and has the addition of hearts. It's also wavy instead of being a straight divide.
The floral ground on this one started with some ink blending and then topping that with flowers in the same color. Subtle, but pretty!
Love, love that chubby cat! I added a collar, flower and some hearts to the image. Just so fun.

Hope you look at those mini flowers with a new eye. Have fun!
