Up Up and Away
We are having wonderful weather! It would be a wonderful time to go up, up and away in a hot air balloon. Have you ever flown in one? I never have. I would, but I have to confess I would be a little scared!
Isn't this hot air balloon and little bear adorable? Couldn't wait to start coloring when my package arrived from Waffleflower.
I made another fold over card. This one is held closed with the clothespin.
What's inside? Another adorable bear (and bird)!
You may remember that this die from Pretty Pink Posh is my favorite for making clouds. I start my blending tool on top of the cut out and push the color onto my card. I made the clouds with the fold over closed and then opened it and lined up my die cut to match.
Did these cuties make you smile? I can't remember where I picked up the old card. It is a kids birthday card and it is in terrible shape. Luckily, I was able to clean it up enough so that it's printable. You can download the hot air balloon image below.
The actual basket is white, so I colored it with copics, adding a couple of little birds from the Waffleflower stamp set. You know I love plaid and so I created another plaid card with my stencil brush. I used the top two colors in the Color Box palette.
Here's a quick look at the inside.

Dropbox seems to work differently for different people. Either right click and save when image appears or click the download button in the top right corner. If neither method works, email me and I'll send the files to you.
Hope you're having fabulous up, up and away weather! So glad you stopped by!

Your hot air balloon cards are super cute, Lori!! Love the clouds and the sweet birds flying around the balloon! The second card is full of fabulous color with the purples, blues, and yellow! Makes me smile with the adorable animals! We nearly went up in a hot air balloon last fall, but it was too cold. Maybe one day!:-) Take care and have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThese are SO sweet, Lori! Love the balloon images, and your creations always put the biggest smile on my face. Fabulous stippled plaid and great tip on creating the masked clouds with that label die. That's genius!
