It is a gloomy day here today. But I have to say I harbor a love for gloomy days! I associate them with curling up with a good book (always when I was young) and now certainly the good book and also creating! So I don't mind a gloomy day one little bit.
There isn't one thing gloomy about this card, however. It makes me think of spring and makes me feel bright! I have to say it was super hard to photograph, especially with the gloominess outside. I wanted you to see the beautiful Cool Highlights of the micro fine glitter. I guess you're going to have to trust me on this - the glitter is gorgeous! I can see it in the large version of my pictures in Photoshop, but not so much here. Oh, well....
I do have a video showing this cool technique of coloring with markers on top of the micro fine glitter. You can see the glitter a little bit more in the video. You can watch it here:
How sweet and shining card is it! Love the gingham background, the sweet bunnies and the colours on glitters are just stunning!!
ReplyDeleteI go to see your video, thanks for sharing!

Oh so pretty, Lori! I actually bought Copics to color over glitter, but seldom do it. The little pink clothespin is such a darling element!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! I'm visiting a glitter factory next Saturday and then...I am trying this! Thanks for always providing inspiration!
ReplyDeleteAdorable. Such a pretty card Lori.
ReplyDeleteThank you for reminding me about this technique.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous Easter card, Lori! Love the gingham background, beautiful glitter and the sweet little bunnies!
ReplyDeleteJust FYI - Be Creative Tape is "Scortape" without the middle "e". It comes in widths starting at 1/8th inch wide on up to 6 inches wide and it is available in sheets that are 6 x 6. A micro-thin adhesive sheet called Stick It comes in 8.5 x 11 sheets if you need larger. On Amazon...
ReplyDeleteThank you for the info, Vicki!

DeleteThe card is gorgeous and that technique is really something - thank you for showing it to us. It seems like all the glitter would rub off when you were burnishing it. This is really great Lori!
