It's time for a new month long challenge at Recycle, RePurpose & ReInvent. The theme is Anything Goes - just recycle something!
At work, we send lots of packages through UPS. Our billing statement began including these great recycled envelopes. We get more bills than we have to send checks and I've been keeping the envelopes, because I knew I would want them for something! Well, the "something" finally came along...this little pocket book.
The cover includes this wonderful Nature Goddess image created by Chris at CS Designs.
I cut the envelopes in half and then sewed them to create the pockets, which contain vintage seed packets or tags - all in keeping with the nature image and perfect for small photos and journaling.
I kept the embellishments very simple and are mostly made from leftover scraps.
I hope you join us at Recycle, RePurpose & ReInvent - you've got a whole month to create a project with something recycled. And you've got to check out the other projects!
Hi Lori, what a lovely project, really like the idea and the way you created this. Hugs Frea
