Welcome to the May 1st group post for My Time Made Easy! Three new templates are being released today and all three are being featured by the design team. Of course, there are gorgeous new papers, cut files and stamps, too! You can see it all in the new releases area of the store.
I'm featuring the Treasured template which makes a darling treasure chest. Yeah, I know, mine doesn't look much like a treasure chest! That's because it's not! It's very versatile - as you can see, I created a travel case.
I added a handle, (using a method I learned from Lauren several years ago) which are the silver pieces off a small office clip. I also embossed it to look like leather (at least I think it does). The addition of some vintage travel stickers and tickets finish off the look.
It's nice and roomy. Big enough for some Burt's Bees and there in the back you can see the new Wallet of Wishes cut file peeking out.
It's a great template: perfect for pictures, a gift card, little notes....
I'm so glad you came by today to visit. And visit all the other DT blogs to see their fabulous creations:

Preview Day: My Time Made Easy
Time for fun - time for Dad! You are in for a treat with this month's release from My Time Made Easy. Today, I'm showcasing the Blue Collar Template - it's a fun shirt-shaped box. Perfect for a Father's Day treat...
I'm also showing a couple of images from a wonderful new digital stamp set called A Vintage Day for Dad. These are wonderful vintage-looking stamps and come in lots of colors!
I also put together a simple gift card holder using a glassine bag and a couple of the really cool new papers and stamps.
I always mention how I like gift cards and I love creating cute ways to give them. Just slip the tag and card inside the bag - way easy!
I filled the shirt box with Lundt Lindor Truffles in dark chocolate and hazelnut milk chocolate. I had never tried them, but came highly recommended by my friend, Linda. They are yummy! The gift card holder fits neatly inside, too. All of this, plus a LOT more, will be available at the My Time Made Easy store on May 1st. In the meantime, visit these blogs for more wonderful creations:

Favorite Stamp at Craft Us Crazy
I don't know why I have such a problem selecting favorites - favorite color, embellishment, etc... I just can't do it! But, of course I had to have a project for this challenge at Craft Us Crazy, so select a stamp I did. Our sponsor for the Favorite Stamp Company challenge is none other than Jeri herself. And it's a great prize - $15.00 gift certificate to your favorite on-line craft store!
I love LuLu. Isn't she adorable? There are several stamps featuring LuLu at Stamping Bella. She's just so fun to color! I like to make her a little shabby chic.
I used one of the LuLu's earlier and just purchased several more and I can't wait to get them!
All the details for the challenge and DT projects are at the Craft Us Crazy blog. Come join us!

Barbara Banner
Hi, everybody! We have had gorgeous weather here this weekend. Not that I got out much - busy creating goodies, you know. By the way, I'm so jealous of Paul (my son-in-law). Here's his "new" car:
I SOOOO wanted an MGB when I was 16. My dad and I drove one and he told me it was like driving a tin can. So, needless to say I did not get that cute little red MGB (I got a new camaro, instead. So, I can't complain too much). I was teasing my mom and dad about it this week and I find out that Daddy really wanted to get it and Mom was worried about my safety! Now, the truth comes out...
This banner was made for a new friend of mine, Kim from Altus, to decorate her sister's 50th birthday party. The pretty background pennants are a new set from Iralamija's shop.
The set includes butterflies - you can see one of them above. I found some really cool tinsel glitter at Michaels. I really love how it looks on the letters!
Hope you've had a wonderful weekend and have a great week, too!

Gift Basket for Mom
It's my day tomorrow for a tutorial at The Hybrid Chick. I posted the basket that I made for my mom for her birthday. She likes to have my cards on hand to include with gifts or to send as thank yous or for special occasions. I started with a basket that she could use after all the goodies inside were gone.
Then I added cards, gift card holders, and tags to the basket.
The seed packets from the Spring Garden set found at The Digi Chick store are darling! I thought they'd make perfect gift card holders.
I used the same seed packet to make the cards.
I used the journal spots from the set to make the flower and the tag itself. The Spring Garden set includes lots of pretty pieces and pretty papers, too.
I made the basket from the easter basket cut file also found at The Digi Chick. Check out The Hybrid Chick blog for instructions and supply information. Thank you for stopping by!

Happy Birthday, Mom!
April 15th: Mom's birthday and tax day! Of course, this year you have until April 17th to file. Good thing, too, I just did ours on Friday! (Do you wonder why you have until the 17th instead of the 16th? I couldn't figure out why so I looked it up. It just so happens that Monday is Emancipitation Day, which apparently they celebrate in Washington D.C. I don't know about you, but that is not a holiday that we get to celebrate and take a day off around here.)
Daddy asked for a card to give Mom on the same day I got this little cutie in the mail. I thought it must be a sign. She's a vintage place card holder.
She stands on a folded piece of cardboard where the name should be written. I think she's darling!
I talked to Mom a little earlier (we'd been worried about my daughter Lauren, who lives in Wichita - lots of tornado activity there - luckily all is well). Mom's having a nice, relaxing day for her birthday. I'll have a little more of Mom's birthday to show you later in the week. Can't show it now, haven't given it to her yet!
Happy, Happy Birthday Mom! I love you!

Mother's Day at Craft Us Crazy
Can you believe two weeks has gone by and it's already time for a new challenge at Craft Us Crazy? For the next two weeks the theme is Mother's Day and/or Flowers.
The sponsor for this theme is Limited Runs Digital Stamps. Be sure to check out the Craft Us Crazy blog for all the details on the prize.
I covered both parts of the theme with my card. My photos are a little wonky: it was gloomy and I couldn't get the lighting just right...aggravating!!! I sewed together two seed packets (the seed packet images are from magic pug) as the background. Love these seed packets - there are quite a few in the set. They come flat and you can fold them up for actual seed packets or pockets.
Be sure to visit Craft Us Crazy to see the other DT projects and to join in the fun!

Happy Easter
I've been talking a lot today about the Easter egg hunts we had when Lauren was little. What fun it was to have everybody over for an egg huntin' party. This kills Lauren now, but we even dressed alike when she was little.
See the cute jumper? I had one, too! I know, I know, but it was the 80s!
This post has a lot of Easter cards. I didn't realized that I had so many that I hadn't posted yet. That sweet girl and bunny postcard is an image from Iralamija's shop. This card took me by surprise - I never really thought of using black for Easter, but I like it!
Sweet image, huh?
Love the bunny button on this one. (The card is little crooked, but I am too lazy today to go take it again!)
This one has a gorgeous postcard. I've had it for quite awhile, but finally got it scanned and made into a card.
And then there is this sweet little angel card:
Have a wonderful Easter!

My Time Made Easy: A Year in Review
This month we get second shot at the old/new thing. I can't tell you what a pleasure it is to peruse all the goodies offered at My Time Made Easy! This time for the new part, I used the Com-pleatly template again. But, this time I only used the large box. These boxes are quite lovely - easy to put together with a nice finished edge.
I kept the box simple: pretty papers and a rich chocolate ribbon. The inside gift I designed for a dear friend who loves things to do with birds.
The straight and scalloped hearts are cut using the Flag 'em Down cut file. The papers are from the Dainty Damask set. Aren't they pretty?
I made the rosettes using the Border Builders Open Scallop Cut File.
That sweet little bird with the glittered beak is part of A Little Birdie Cut File. All of those make up the "old" part of my banner.
How about the pretty rolled blooms? Those are new. And wonderful - they can be cut just the size I need! I cut the letters and made the little banner using a trufont called angel. It's so hard to get a good picture of an entire banner, but here goes:

Post Release Day 2: My Time Made Easy
I hope you've taken a look at some of the wonderful creations for the April release for My Time Made Easy. Lauren has created some beautiful things and the design team creations have been amazing! This time we're combining something old with something new, so I took advantage of that and went back to this darling bunny paper from last month. The new Card Coverup Template seemed like a good bet to hold all the makings for an Easter Treat Bag Kit.
It holds glassine bags for the treats and all the pieces to make cute tags.
The tags are also a mixture of old and new.
I used the new Window Frame Collection and some vintage paper to cut the base. The bunny paper and the darling dot paper are from previous releases. The kraft tag was cut with Fine Finish Cut File.
The tags can be clipped on with the little clothespins that are in the kit. And what is inside my glassine bag?
Two of the cutest little chocolate bunnies ever!
