I've been seeing a lot of tri-fold shutter cards and I think they are so cool. I wanted to try one out for myself. I changed a couple of things from what I've seen - it seems I can hardly ever just leave something the way it is! I adjusted the dimensions so that I could showcase a larger image and I folded the inside folds a little different. I like the idea of part of the image being hidden and then revealed when opened. I did a dummy card first to get the dimensions the way I wanted - which worked great! But,then....when I'm ready to cut the Turquoise paper, I totally screwed up! I cut one wrong, I scored one wrong, I cut one perfectly and then noticed that the name of the paper showed on the back! I wasted paper like crazy! Oh, well, I FINALLY got it!
I'm going to link this card up at Basic Grey Challenges and Moving Along with the Times. It just so happens they both have the same challenge: more than one fold. The front paper is My Minds Eye and the floral paper is from the Curio collection from Basic Grey. The image is from The Graphics Fairy.
The scallop stamp and sentiment are Papertrey Ink. The other stamps are Making Memories. Thanks for stopping by!
