From Peggy:  My husband and I have shared 36 years together and we have 2 sons and a daughter and 2 glorious grandkids ages 3 and 6.
I  started collecting vintage cards quite by accident. I was helping with my aunts estate sale and ran across her collection. The cards were so wonderful that I fell in love with them and have been collecting them ever since.
I love to get a new vintage scrapbook and read all about the lives and times of the individual. Some of their stories are truly inspiring.
Be sure and visit http://www.PeggyLovesVintage.blogspot.com/ where you'll find some great inspiration, tips, tricks and some free vintage images for you to use.
I'm really excited about being an sponsor for Craft Us Crazy and sharing these beautiful vintage images with you. I hope that you come to love them as much as I do.

The prize from Peggy Loves Vintage:  5 different cutouts from her shop - a $17.50 value!

You know I love vintage - so I couldn't stop at just one project using Peggy's cute images - I had to do two!  First up is this darling little bunny box (template is from Martha Stewart) showcasing an image from Peggy Loves Vintage.
Don't you just say "awwww" when you see the baby bunny and duck?
Next, how about a pretty Easter decoration in the shape of an egg?  Showcased is a beautiful vintage image from Peggy - love it!  I printed the image twice so that I could pop up the bunnies and flowers.
The papers are Prima and old sheet music.  I made the roses and carnation and added some pretty ribbon - it has a lot of my favorite things!  Check out all the inspiration and challenge details at Craft Us Crazy!

You're the Cherry on Top!

As you can see, I finally got a new blog header and I'm so excited.  It's from Viola Mahr and I love it.  However, can anyone tell me how to get rid of the blue frame?  I don't even remember how I got it there in the first place!
This sweet little card was made with a digital kit from Pretty Little Studio.  Love those cute little girls!   Everything is from the kit except for the little flag I made on the computer.  The cherry stamps are from Crafty Secrets.  Well, here's to the start of another week - hope your's is a great one!

A Couple of Guy Birthdays

Are you having a great week?  Been a good one here.  A bit quiet...Kitty seems to be extra attached to me this week, following me around and wanting to be on my lap.  Cats are funny - they want attention WHEN THEY WANT IT.  Luckily, he seems content to be sleeping close by while I'm crafting.  He often ends up with glitter all over him!  No glitter on these cards, however!  They are part of an order I finished this weekend.
I  just got the Pink Paislee 6 x 6 paper pack and some new echo park papers that seem perfect for a guy.  Love the vintage buttons tied with twine!  The frame die cut is from Papertrey Ink
and so is the cute truck stamp.
  Tomorrow's Friday...have a good one!

Happy Birthday, Mika!

It's a happy, happy birthday for Mika!  I've referenced her cooking blog, Mika's Pantry, a couple of times - if you need new recipes for dinner you'll find them there.  Mika got a new Papillon puppy for her birthday.  Even though the image I used doesn't have the same kind of puppy, I still think it works.
This image seemed pretty perfect with the cooking and all!   That's Melissa Frances papers behind her and the cherry stamp is Crafty Secrets.   Happy birthday and happy cooking, Mika!

Birthday Silhouette

Hope your weekend has been great!   We've had lovely weather...Dennis worked out in the yard yesterday (notice I didn't say "we" - it's just not really my thing).  A good friend of my mom (who is also a friend of mine) always orders her birthday cards from me.  I've been busy this weekend on a recent order (didn't have time to be in the yard, works for an excuse, right?).  This silhouette stamp has been on the shelf for at least two years, have always like it, just haven't used it.  After creating a couple of silhouette cards recently, I wondered why I haven't used it!  So, I stamped her on some old ledger paper and wandered through some pretty K&Co papers,
punched a few hearts and there she is...ready to be used as a birthday card!
Off to work on some guy birthday cards.  Thanks for stopping by!

Party in a Box for Craft Us Crazy

It's time for a new challenge at Craft Us Crazy!   The theme for the next two weeks is Cupcake/Celebration.  Our sponsor for this challenge is Limited Runs.

Info from Limited Runs:

When I started creating christmas cards for my friends I didn't realize how addictive it could be and it's slowly been getting larger. We all start somewhere and it's been growing.  Creating Digi's just happened to be a blend of using my drawing and computer graphix together to create "Limited Runs" which is my digital stamp store. I've also started Freebie Fridays and will be doing this for a Limited time too. Each may be posted from 1 day to ??? (Limited Time Offer) May you all enjoy my digi's as much as I love to make them. So if your looking for some YUMMY cupcakes I've got over 70 varieties to choose from with more always in the works.  Don't worry, there are also others available from cute to a little scary - pop by and you'll see what I mean!!!
The prize from Limited Runs is three digi images of the winner's choice!

While I was contemplating what I wanted to create for the cupcake/celebration challenge, I received a request for a banner, invitations, cupcake decorations, and lollipop covers.  Well, that couldn't be any more perfect!  I used the single candle cupcake from Limited Runs to create my project.
For the banner, I also used Papertrey Ink and Spellbinder dies, some chipboard letters that I glittered that fabulous blue (from Martha), vintage buttons, Divine Twine, and hand-dyed seam binding ribbon.
The cupcake decoration is simply the Limited Runs cupcake with a little banner.
I used a Papertrey Ink die to create the folded lollipop covers and the invitations.
Here you can see how the lollipop fits inside.
The invite opens the same way with all the info inside.
The little cupcake stamp is Papertrey.  I still have to make a few lollipop covers and invites, but I'm almost there!  I wanted something cool to package it all in...enter the 1950's ice cream box.  (These are still available online at Papertrove.)
Just added a circle tag - I didn't want to cover up much of the box.  Check out Craft Us Crazy for more cupcake/celebrate inspiration!

Elegant Irish Girl

Isn't she pretty?   I just love this image.
I used "A Child's Year" Cricut cartridge to make the fancy card.  I love that, too!  The postcard and stamp are from a vintage one I picked up at an antique store.  And that wonderful green button is a vintage one from a huge collection I bought not too long ago.
All those old things make me happy!     Don't forget the wearing o' the green on Thursday...

Ribbons and Roses Hat Silhouette

Stitchy Bear Stamps is one of the monthly sponsors at Craft Us Crazy.  I'm crazy for their Hat Silhouette Series - there are several fabulous digital stamps in this series (and of course, Stitchy Bear has LOTS of different digital goodies, too).

Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps

"Hi my name is Stitchy and I am Co-Owner of Stitchy Bear Stamps...we started this store April 1st, No Fooling haha..I live in upstate New York with my husband and two TEENAGE adults haha, I do say that loosely as they think they run the show here, NOT...

I been creating stamps for a little less than a year now and I am totally addicted to the craft..I started about 4 years ago making digital scraps and I knew there was much more out there, so a friend of mine introduced me to digital stamps...and the rest they say is history...I look forward to seeing all the beautiful creations come through...good luck everyone..stitchy xoxox"

If you link up a creation at Craft Us Crazy (the theme is Nature until Thursday when a new theme will be introduced) you will be elgible to win a $10 gift certificate from Stitchy Bear Stamps.

For my card, I used some K & Co paper that's been hanging around awhile (yay!! I used old stuff!), but is still oh, so pretty.  I found some wonderful old Lion Coffee ad cards at an antique store.  The fronts are fabulous vintage victorian and what you see here is the back (scanned and printed quite a bit smaller).  The doily is  a Papertrey Ink die.  The border punch is Martha Stewart.  The finishing touch is those sweet pearls around her neck!
I believe that Jeri has posted some other wonderful inspiration, so check out Craft Us Crazy.  I would also like to thank Kelly for awarding me The Stylish blogger award.  I'll post a little more about it later.  Thanks for stopping by!

Kiss Me, I'm Irish!

Well, not really...but it is that time of year!  I love the shamrocks and all the green.
The cute sticker circle was a find at Michaels. It fit perfectly between this sweet Irish couple.
Just taking a moment to pop in while everyone's getting ready for the day.  Lauren's here, so we'll probably go to antique stores, book stores...some of our favorite places.  Lauren and her husband are considering a move to Savannah, Georgia.  If you know about that part of the US or have any advice/suggestions, would you let me know? Hope you have a great weekend!

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Today is my dad's birthday!   These are a couple of cards I made.  The airmail card is the one I made for my mom to give to him.
The plane stamp is a graphic from The Graphics Fairy.
The March calendar on this one is a piece of the 2011 calendar that is available for download at Crafty Secrets.  The tickets (which are really cool, by the way), diecut and stamps, are from Papertrey Ink.
Have a great day today, Daddy, and I'll see tomorrow!
